Mineral engineering services
The Institute performs research in such spheres as physics, the chemistry of ultrahigh pressures and temperatures, mechanics of contact interaction and new opportunities for their implementation in mechanical engineering, construction, mining, electronics, optics, medicine, and so on. At the Institute’s laboratories, they produce the following items: • Extra hard materials of polished, micro- and sub-micro powders made of synthetic diamonds and cubic boron nitride of different grades, physical, and mechanical properties; • Cutting, grinding, and polishing devices to work with metal, ceramics, natural stone, reinforced concrete, glass, semiconductor materials, and wood; • Tools for drilling wells that allow extracting minerals, oil, and gas; • Polycrystalline plates of different shapes and diameters up to 40 mm for processing materials with cutting that includes equipment for coal combines; • Impact-resistant ceramic materials.
