Civil Research Concerning the Strength and Operational Properties of Welded Structures
The key directions of scientific research of E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine are as follows: - Integrated investigation of the nature of welding, soldering, surfacing, spraying, and related processes on their basis of new high-performance technologies, equipment, and materials; - Research concerning the strength and operational properties of welded structures, development of principles and foundations for their design, reliability, and durability; - Automation of welding processes and related procedures; - Developing new technologies and electrometallurgical equipment consisting of high-quality alloys and composite materials.
