Hydrobiology research and development
The Institute of Hydrobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: - monitors the ecological state of the water bodies; - conducts research in the field of the biodiversity and functioning of freshwater ecosystems; - investigates physical and chemical bases of a fish migration; - assess fish fauna state and its diversity. Research projects of the Institute include the program on the rational usage of the potential of a natural resource and its sustainable development, prevention of the negative effect of changes in climatic conditions, and the impact of chronic ionizing radiation on fish, etc.
