The main practical goal of the institute's scientific developments is studying the properties of new compounds and materials on the basis of fundamental research in the field of inorganic chemistry and electrochemistry. Also the institute works on the creation of highly efficient, environmentally friendly, energy- and resource-saving "rational" technologies with the inclusion in the production process of secondary raw materials, reducing man-made impact on the environment.
